ST. LEO – Dr. William J. Lennox Jr., president of Saint Leo University, recently announced that Dr. Melanie Storms will now be senior vice president for WorldWide Operations. In this capacity, she will continue to be responsible for Saint Leo’s education centers, graduate programs, and Center for Online Learning, as well as providing strategic leadership and oversight of the university’s marketing and enrollment functions.
Storms was named vice president of the newly created Saint Leo WorldWide Division in June 2016. The division combined the university’s teaching locations and online learning programs. With the current expansion of her duties, she now will have the responsibility for the full life cycle of Saint Leo’s WorldWide students—from pre-admission to graduation.
Prior to arriving at Saint Leo, Storms served in leadership positions in higher education for nearly 15 years, most recently as vice president of the Colleges of Health Sciences and Social and Behavioral Sciences at Walden University. Prior to that, she was dean of the School of Psychology for Walden. She also was president of Argosy University-Tampa Campus for more than six years.
Storms earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida, and her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology.
