Ridge Manor Spivey Karate Team Wins

The Spivey Karate Ridge Manor team recently won the Team Championship in the tightly contested 32nd Annual Spivey Karate Winter Warriors Tournament held at the Ridge Manor Community Center. The local team scored an average of 6.875 points per entrant to edge out the team victory. The 2nd place San Ann/Lake Jovita team had an average of 6.75 pts. per entrant. 3rd place Dade City had 6.709 & 4th place Zephyrhills/Wesley Chapel had a close 5.687. The Overall Grand Champions of the event were Ballon Matson of Dade City (5 yr. old & under Lil’ Dragons), Matthew Huggins from Ridge Manor (7 yr. old & under Karate Kids), Sarah Zorn from Z-hills (8 yr. old & up female), Chase Compton from Z-hills, (8 yr. old & up male), and Victoria Dinning of Z-hills, (Black Belt).
