Sometimes you just know your dog was meant to be a Therapy Dog. In his almost five years of life, Sabre has not met a person he didn?t like. If someone is feeling down, he seems to know exactly what to do. When he?s not hanging out at home with his brother Bobo, his sister Layla and Trixie the cat, he really likes getting out there in the world, going different places and meeting new people. Recently, Tranquil Pawz Therapy Dogs Class #15 made their second visit at Heritage Park Health & Rehabilitation Center. As Sabre was walking along with some of his smaller classmates (Yorkie-poodle mix, Bichon, Yorkie), a woman parked her wheelchair in the middle of the hallway and announced loudly ?I wanna see the BIG dog!? There was a definite traffic jam taking place. ?I know I?m in the way, but can I just visit with the BIG dog?!? As it turned out, the woman had always had big dogs. Smuckers, Ms Beasley and Frodo were doing just fine and were just as cute as anything, but she knew that Rottweiler was 100 plus pounds of love and she wasn?t going to settle for any less. New friend made! If you would like to meet Sabre and his classmates (both large and small) you can come to their Graduation on Tuesday, October 12. The celebration, marking the end of their six week training course and the beginning of their adventures as Therapy Dogs, will be held at 7:30 pm at Heritage Park in Dade City.
