Are you hurting, depressed, feeling hopeless as if your personal situation will never change? Or maybe you might just be secretly wanting to belong to something and you are afraid of outside judgment. Did you know that there is a place right here in our very own community that will help you make those changes, build you up and prepare you to take on the world? New Walk Church located temporarily at 37301 Chapel Hill Loop, Zephyrhills, FL 33542. They are is preparing to launch a new series called “Identity” to begin on December 31, 2011. Pastor Gary Baldus will be guiding the church through an 8 week series that will help you take a closer inventory of your life. The Identity series offers a once in a life time opportunity to bring all of your hurts, habits, and hang ups to the surface and gives you the right tools to move forward in a more peaceful and uplifting mindset.
It is distressful to carry past hurts with you all of your life. Doing so drags you down and hinders you from moving closer to your goals in life. Some people may even carry a life story in their heart that should be a best selling book. Pastor Gary teaches on how to not let that story define who you are and better prepare you for the wonderful, life changing things that God has in store for you. The Identity series is a foreshadowing of the new group at New Walk that is set to launch January 7, 2012, called Celebrate Recovery. Celebrate Recovery will be focusing on steps to the road of freedom. Celebrate Recovery was founded by John Baker in 1991. John overcame his addiction to alcohol through AA and began looking for a way he could express his relationship with his “Higher Power” Jesus Christ while going through his recovery. John also recognized there would be others with this same desire. So, John came up with an outline for a 12 Step Recovery Program which he later named, Celebrate Recovery. Now, CR is operating in 19,000 Churches (Worldwide). The Curriculum is written in over 21 languages and is operating in 42 prisons.
People who have already participated in the group are finding freedom, overcoming personal difficulties and are now experiencing God’s best in their lives. Take a chance and learn how to overcome depression, co-dependency, emotional struggles, even drug or alcohol dependency. Remember that there is hope for you!
This unique church is a diamond in the ruff. New Walk invites you into a friendly, “come as you are” environment where you are not only fed amazing donuts and starbucks coffee, but you are also fed the amazing word of God that is preached in a way that you are able to apply it into your every day life. Listening to Pastor Gary preach is like having a heart to heart over coffee with your best friend every Sunday morning. The worship is like being at a rock show, it leaves your heart pounding and your feet taping. The youth ministry at New Walk is exploding. Amped, a teen ministry which meets at New Walk Church every Sunday night at 5:30, where over 200 teens come together each week to worship and learn, is just as inviting and gives teens the opportunity to gather in a place where outside judgement is left at the door. New Walk now offers four convenient service times to better fit into your already busy schedules. Saturday Evenings at 6:30, Sunday Mornings at 9 am, 10:30 am and Noon. Change is at your fingertips, we hope to see you soon. For more information call: 813-469-9299.
