The Owners of Henry C’s Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop are proud to say they have brought back these wonderful memories to Dade City. You are invited to roll back time and stroll in to enjoy ice cream, candy and sandwiches. If you are looking for an evening of big city prices and a “who’s next attitude”, Tampa is a short drive away. If you are looking for small town hospitality and ice cream packed with old fashioned value, Henry C’s should be your choice.
The employees at Henry C’s just recently celebrated their one year in business located on Meridian Avenue. They believe being a family business means pricing their candy and ice cream treats within reach of the local, economically strained families. However, affordable pricing doesn’t mean a sacrifice in quality. The shop serves quality brands including Edy’s Ice Cream and Boar’s Head deli meats and cheeses.
Henry C’s is modeled after an old fashioned general store with a soda shop atmosphere. There is a great selection of some hard to find candy that will remind old timers of their youth! Also in stock are Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies, Stewart’s Sodas and more.
Henry C’s is a full delicatessen serving Boar’s Head meats and cheeses to take home as well as to eat in. There are great breads including fresh Cuban Bread. Platters can be ordered for parties and events, such as Football parties. Their pricing is competitive and is lower that the supermarkets.
The owners, Angela and Felix, are a young couple originally from Washington D.C. area. After living in the Tampa Bay for a little over a year, they found the opportunity to purchase Henry C’s. They now call Dade City “home”. Felix said, “It is a city like no other in Florida and it was “love at first sight”, just like I fell in love with my wife, Angela, ten years ago.” “Now we are here to stay, improve and please our clientele.”
