The ranch borders 850 square miles of old Florida wilderness with Green Swamp adjoining the prestigious property and over 200 sand hill cranes roosting in the wetlands on grounds. Bringing the continents together, the ranch hosts a variety of animals and is home to some of the most intriguing species from Asia, Africa, and America.
On each tour, small groups board customized 4WD safari tour vehicles that are designed for safety, comfort and capturing a terrific view of Florida’s natural habitat, featuring some of the world’s most elusive four-legged creatures. The ranch provides a home to many out of the ordinary animals and some include: zebras, giraffes, ring-tailed lemur, pygmy hippos, exotic Dexter cattle from Ireland and even a rare, exotic cross species called a Zeedonk (a male Sicilian donkey that was bred with a female Zebra). Accredited by the Zoological Association of America and licensed by the USDA, Giraffe Ranch teaches about sustainability and eco-friendly options to support and care for the environment. The tour is high quality and strictly limited in size. Each guide is only allowed 15-20 visitors and is scheduled with two tours per day. You can book your tour at 11am or 2pm.
