Saturday, February 5th and Sunday, February 6th, 9 am to 4 pm both days.
HORSES! On Saturday at 10 am, the 8th annual Draft Horse Competition will be presented by the Southern Draft Horse Association.
QUILTS! The Hoffman Challenge Traveling Quilt Collection of dolls, quilts and clothes will be on display. The Hoffman Challenge, started in 1988, has grown to be a premiere travelling exhibit of fiber artists. This year the challenge fabric of turquoise and gold will be combined with others in jade and sapphire and highlighted with beadwork and metallic threads.
MUSIC! Lots of music both days: Emmett Carlisle, Frank and Lisa Thomas, and Bill and Eli Parras (“Blues Got Us”) will play on Saturday throughout the afternoon starting at noon. “The Dulcimer Connection” will be playing in the Museum’s Main Building starting at 1 o’clock.
The Gazebo stage will feature vgo both days, with a brass ensemble interlude on Saturday afternoon and the Beaumonts on Sunday. Sunday will also have “The Barking Dogs” playing at the Citrus Stage in the afternoon.
and More! Come see our tractor parade both days (11 am on Saturday and noon on Sunday) featuring antique tractors and more modern ones. Both days, museum volunteers will be grinding cane and making pure sugar cane syrup one final time of the season. Traditional crafters will be demonstrating their skills of weaving, spinning, and pine straw baskets with various art and crafters having their wares for sale. Lots of festival food will be available and activities for the children, including pony rides and model train displays.
Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for children. with free parking.
The Pioneer Florida Museum is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Florida’s pioneer heritage. The museum is located one mile north of downtown Dade City, off of US 301.
