The Pasco County Fair Association is “Happy” to announce theme for 64th Annual Pasco County Fair -- “C’MON GET HAPPY”

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

“With this year’s theme you can say we are going retro, back to the 70’s. Everyone will remember the old “Partridge Family” show, with their opening theme song, C’mon Get Happy,” said Tracy J. Thompson, Annual Fair Chairman. “We feel our fair is a happy, fun place for families to come and have a good time, so we want our theme for 2011 to be an open invitation for everyone to C’mon Get Happy, and enjoy all the fair has to offer,” said Thompson.
“In keeping with the retro theme, we have an entertainment icon from the 70’s that will be appearing daily at the 2011 Pasco County Fair, Mallory Lewis & Lamb Chop,” Thompson continued. Mallory Lewis is the daughter of the late Shari Lewis, the woman who created the world-famous puppet, Lamb Chop. Lamb Chop and Shari entertained several generations of young people with their charming banter and lively shows. Now following in her mother’s footsteps, Mallory has partnered with Lamb Chop to entertain a whole new generation, as well as bring nostalgia back to those who grew up with Lamb Chop. “We are excited about this addition to our fair. The entertainment lineup for 2011 is being finalized and will be announced soon,” Thompson concluded.
Mark your calendar now for February 21-27, 2011 and “C’mon Get Happy” at the Pasco County Fair. Fair memberships are now being sold through January 31st, 2011. Applications are available at the fair office or online at www.pascocountyfair.com.
