Hospital Showcases Chest Pain Care at Chamber Breakfast

The Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce recently held its’ Monthly Business Breakfast at Bayfront Health Dade City.  Wayne Ruppert, Bayfront Cardiovascular Coordinator, outlined the achievements and recognition the hospital has received in chest pain and heart attack care.

In April, Bayfront Health Dade City was awarded the status Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation, the highest level of accreditation granted by the American College of Cardiology.  Bayfront Dade City became the first hospital in Pasco County, the eighth hospital in Florida and the 53rd in the nation to achieve this status.  The hospital was awarded this status for consistently exceeding national averages for saving the lives of heart attack patients suffering from cardiac arrest.
