Florida Hospital Zephyrhills (FHZ) will host “Ladies Who Lunch” from 9 am to 1:30 pm on Thursday, March 16, at the East Pasco Seventh-day Adventist Church, 7333 Dairy Road.
This annual event focuses on women’s health and includes presentations by physicians, complimentary screenings, shopping, a health fair, luncheon and giveaways. Lunch will be held on the church grounds underneath a large canopy rain or shine with keynote speaker Courtney Robinson, anchor/reporter for 10NEWS WTSP, Tampa Bay. A ladies’ tea will be the predominant luncheon theme.
There will be four breakout sessions with Florida Hospital Physician Group providers prior to lunch. Topics are diabetes and diabetes management with Jayapriya Raj, MD, board certified in internal medicine; incontinence and ways to correct this annoying health problem featuring John Ferlita, MD, FACOG, board certified in gynecology and urogynecology; women’s heart health presented by Tobin John, MD, board certified in family medicine; and hormonal issues facing post-menopausal women with Marian Sampson, MD, FACOG, board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Almost all of the hospital’s department staff will be present to provide education and answer questions and there will be a significant presence from the CREATION® Health Wellness Center, according to Jane Freeman, FHZ community relations manager.
