The Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Banquet and Community Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 7 at the Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club. Chamber President, Kelly Sinn, CEO of Sunrise of Pasco outlined some of the initiatives that the Chamber has undertaken this past year prior to the awards ceremony.
The 2018 Community Awards were presented by Master of Ceremonies, David West along with Awards Committee Chair, Dr. Lisa Richardson.

Richard Tombrink Lifetime Achievement Award:
Jeanette Barthle Sutton
Jeanette was a native Floridian raised in Dade City. Living on the family ranch Jeanette, a mother of 7, served as active leader in 4H & FFA and was the 6th recipient of Woman of the Year in Agriculture Award. She was President of American National Cattle Women’s organization, and in 1994 wrote “Cowboy, kids & critters”. In 1995 she fulfilled a lifetime ambition – becoming a journalist as regional editor for the “Independent Farmer and Rancher”, now “The Record”, a weekly agricultural publication. Her family received the award posthumously in her honor.
