Eleven couples who were celebrating more than 50 years of matrimony were recognized at Hillside Mobile Home Park (County Road 54) on March 3, 2018. Eight of the celebrating couples attended the resident’s spaghetti dinner with commemorative cakes.
Following the meal, the crowd was surprised at the evening’s entertainment, “The Not So Newlywed Game”. A few of the questions were: Men, without turning your head, describe what your wife is wearing! What was the wife’s parents first impression you? Where did you first set eyes on your wife, and what was she wearing? After more than 50 years it was understandable that some memories had faded somewhat. Everyone enjoyed the entertainment and shared lots of laughter.
