Downtown Main Street starts the festivities Saturday with the “Moonshine, Turpentine & Timber”parade through downtown at 10:00 am. Along the streets and the park will be 60 community and retail vendors, kids carnival games, a native plant expo, professional and children chalk art, and a beard and mustache competition. A children’s petting zoo is located near the Woman’s Club. Throughout the day there will be live entertainment, a narrated Pioneer hayride and Tales of the Hills by local story tellers. Merchants downtown will be open to guests and visitors are invited to plan a tour of the historic Captain Jefferies House, now home to the Downtown Main Street organization.
On Sunday, from 2pm – 8pm, the Zephrhills Rotary Club and Downtown Main Street will host events at the new airport venue, 5200 Airport Road, including live bands, a skydiving exhibition, vendors, and fireworks (weather permitting) at dusk. This new addition builds on the atmosphere of the historic downtown and showcases the growth and advances made in the ‘modern-day’ Zephyrhills.
